Is it ok if i type english? (faster to type...i'll translate into chinese if you want)
We probably all know that jaco doesnt really treat his bass nicely. What he did in converting his jbass to a fretless was he just pulled out the frets, and coated the whole fretboard with epoxy. He did not have a neck custom made as far as i know.
Well basically the only real issues is having the right tools to pull out the frets, and filling in the fret slots with either epoxy(like jaco) or wood-filler. Then if you have a soft wood such as maple, you would need to coat the whole fretboard with something to prevent it from string wear. Woods like rosewood should be ok if left uncoated (and if you use flatwound strings). After that, you will have a perfectly playable bass - no adjustments needed.
However, to enjoy lower action as permitted by a fretless bass, you would need to file down the nut slots so the strings are only a little bit higher than the fretboard. Then the bridge would be adjusted lower and the intonation adjusted accordingly.
I don't think there is a bass/guitar technitian capable of defretting in Shanghai...so i might have to wait till i go back to canada. However, defretting is a commonly done thing (man people choose to do it themselves).
Im not sure if i've answered all your questions. what do you mean by 弦距? string to string spacing? fret-to-fret spacing? string-to-fingerboard spacing?
the real meaning is "string-to-fingerboard spacing"
i think there is no technician capable of defretting in China...but you can get in touch with Mr.Mike Kinal who is the technician and boss of KINAL CUSTOM SHOP( http://www.kinal.com) if you are going to Canada...Mr Kinal is a friend of one of my friends...but i think you have a oversimplify idea about this...a fretless bass jaco style doesn't use a original jazz bass neck, likes a describe by fender frontline, "features a select alder body, SPECIAL SHAPED MAPLE NECK, epoxy coated fretless rosewood fingerboard, and replacement P-bass control knobs."...
of cos you can make your ibz eda900 to a eda900fl( in fact, you can buy one which producted by ibz, if you are going to canada), but i don't think so you can get a good feel and a good tone...

1, 是epoxy resin, 不是epoxy.
2, 您不知道并不代表不是

The way Jaco defretted his original bass was to
"pull the frets out with a butter knife and fill in the gaps with wood putty and then coat the neck with marine epoxy."
"In 1970, he purchased his now famous 1962 Jazz Bass®, serial number 64437, which he defretted on his own as he considered frets to be “speed bumps”. The grooves on the fretboard were filled in with Duralite wood putty. To protect the fingerboard from the abrasive roundwound strings, he coated it with about ten layers of a marine epoxy, called “Pettit's Poly-Proxy”, a resin used on sailing boats."
Later mass-production or relic jaco jbasses may be made with the special shaped maple neck, but that was not what I was refering to.
Anyways, here below is a detail guide to defretting as done by a famous luthier Mike Lull.
