Classical Guitar Alive! is the only nationally broadcast guitar radio program in America. In January of 2004, the program began its 8th year of national distribution. Later in 2004, it begins distribution throughout Europe via the European Broadcasting Union.

Broadcast each week on public radio stations in over 200 cities nation wide, and is simulcast world-wide on the internet over 20 times each week.

Classical Guitar Alive! showcases the classical repertory of the guitar by presenting music and interviews with the world's leading performers and composers. The program highlights a vast repertoire of music ranging from the early 1500's through present-day solo, chamber, and orchestral music with guitar. In addition to presenting works by American performers and composers, the program also explores guitar-related music of other cultures. The program has been acclaimed by both critics and the public alike, and has been applauded by artists as diverse as Yale University professor Benjamin Verdery and ex-Led Zeppelin rock guitarist Jimmy Page.

Produced by Tony Morris and made possible by the Friends of Classical Guitar Alive, Inc., a non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization in Austin, Texas, whose mission is to promote the love of classical music with the guitar to the widest possible audience.

开车时常能听到介绍古典吉他的节目。感觉美国这个国家比较富裕，是个养人才的地方！不过同样存在负面，也养了大量的懒鬼！！！假如我觉得自己很有音乐天赋，我也做懒鬼，一天到晚研究音乐、弹琴，反正政府和不少慈善机构会养你，饿不死。。。
