Craig Einhorn is a versatile Classical Guitarist and composer.
He performs throughout the United States, and has been the soloist with several orchestras.
As a recording artist Mr. Einhorn has recorded numerous CD's including a collaborative recording with Mason Williams, composer of Classical Gas, and this collaboration continues.
Craig strives to make his recordings and performances interesting and compelling. His musical reportoire has been described as diverse, with a mark of quality and musicality.
Mr. Einhorn holds a Master of Classical Guitar Performance degree (M.M.) from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Classical Guitar Performance degree from the State University of New York (SUNY Fredonia).
His concerts are characterized by a diverse array of styles. They begin with traditional works from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical eras, and progress into contemporary works by various Brazilian composers, Chet Atkins, Mason Williams and others.
Craig's concerts exhibit a balance between quality musicianship and a lighthearted atmosphere. Craig achieves this by sharing stories about the music he plays and his experiences as a guitarist.
In addition, Craig is known to end concerts with original and popular songs which he sings while accompanying himself.
Craig Einhorn has recorded and performed with Mason Williams, and the collaboration continues.
Craig has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras including the Port Angeles Symphony, the Oregon Mozart Players, and the Oregon State University Symphony.
He has released several CD's. In 1995 he completed "In with the Old, In with the New." Barbara Walters used several tracks from this CD on national television.
In 2000, Craig completed "Obras, with special guest Mason Williams."
In September of 2002, Craig completed a live CD entitled "Craig Einhorn, Live at the Old Siskiyou Barn," which was recorded just outside of Ashland, Oregon.
Most recently, Craig was selected by the Lane Arts Council for the Artists in Schools Program. This includes educational performances for elementary through high schools.
Craig also enjoys performing live on radio and television. Recent appearances include KWAX (with Caitriona Bolster), KRVM (with Mike Meyer) and KLCC (Fresh Tracks, with Liz Wise), in Eugene, as well as Good Day Oregon; KPTV Portland.
Currently he resides in Eugene, Oregon, and teaches at Lane Community College.
