摇滚传奇：Led Zeppelin

华丽摇滚的巨匠：Queen

华丽而迷幻的大师：David Bowie

不为人们所知的一群才华横溢的牛X人物：The Stone Roses

MOD文化的引领者：The Who

迷幻摇滚的巅峰：Pink Floyd

侵占你所有的才华：Sex Pistols

London Calling--The clash

这些是了解英国摇滚的必读教科书。后期的大牌乐队身上受这些老炮的影响太多了，比如oasis，The Libertines ，Embrace等等。

新一些的乐队里，如The Libertines，Razorlight，Embrace，都是非常值得听的。
当然，老冤家OASIS和BLUR也是必听之货。

黄家驹最喜欢的乐队就是Pink。
911义演里面软饼干翻唱的也是Pink的Wish you were here。

这些都是60~70年代的乐队，就是您问的所谓的英国摇滚的根基。
