The Toronto Guitar Society and the University of Toronto present::
A Celebration of the Guitar:
Eli Kassner's 80th Birthday Event!
Date: Saturday, September 18th, 2004
Time: 7:30pm
Location: Walter Hall, Faculty of Music, University of Toronto
The concert will be hosted by Liona Boyd and will feature a superb line-up of performers;
David Russell
Carlos Barbosa-Lima
Vincea McClelland
University of Toronto Guitar Ensemble (conducted by Jeffrey McFadden and featuring Celso Machado on percussion!!)

A catered reception with cash bar will follow in the lobby of Walter Hall.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the University of Toronto Faculty of Music to support scholarships for young guitarists. The donation will be matched FIVE TIMES by the University (i.e. a $20,000 will create a $100,00 fund!) and so there is the potential to create a truly world class guitar scholarship fund at the University!
Tickets for the event are $100.
