都是因为有了它！不要再黑了科普 - 浅谈贝斯与音乐发展史的血浓于水
贝斯，是英文单词 bass 的译音，意为低音，通常我们用这个词泛指低音乐器或低音声线。低音乐器对于音乐的重要性就如同盖房子时必须打地基一样重要，没有低音乐器的根基性作用，音乐听起来只能是轻飘飘的，缺乏应有的力度，甚至会导致和声走向的不正确，出现明显的编曲失误。欧洲音乐早在15世纪就已引入低音提琴；18世纪，低音提琴倍受当时诸多作曲家的青睐，专为低音提琴所创造的曲谱流行于宫廷和坊间； 19世纪，低音提琴已是西方音乐中不可缺少的乐器，甚至有形态极端进化的个例。例如以"黑暗交响"著称的德国作曲家瓦格纳发明的巨大化低音提琴，其低音频率已几乎超过人耳的捕捉范围。总而言之，低音乐器经过几个世纪的发展，使音乐的整体不断进步；对低音乐器理论的逐步完善，也代表了整体音乐理论的不断成熟。现代电声音乐的贝斯理论，其根源就来自于此。想要成为专业的音乐人，不懂贝斯是不可以的。

自大约1890年左右，在美国路易斯安娜州的新奥尔良地区，当地的早期爵士乐队使用一些低音铜管类乐器为音乐加入低音声线。到了上世纪20年代，低音提琴开始逐渐取代低音铜管，当时演奏爵士乐的低音提琴手们已经开始了手指拨弦以及即兴音阶的演奏方式，进行式的分解和弦标明了乐队整体的和弦走向，追根寻源手指贝斯的初始，就在当时的新奥尔良地区。

20世纪早期，由于乐器音箱的研发尚未开始，舞台上的低音提琴属于音量最小的乐器，为了让台下可以更加明显地听到自己的演奏，低音提琴手们纷纷开始引入手指勾弦的演奏方式，演奏音符时用手指把琴弦勾起使其远离指板，之后琴弦回落击打在指板上，制造出更加脆亮明显的声音。这正是后来电贝司勾击技巧的雏形。除此之外，当时诸多名噪一时的低音提琴手们都在爵士乐中引入了个人自创的演奏技法，并逐渐催生了爵士乐的进化与细分多元化。也正是因为有了各类爵士乐的根基，在20年代后半叶才逐渐产生了分枝庞杂的各种摇滚乐。

1951年，电贝斯开始在爵士乐现场首次使用；至70年代，当时的贝斯大师们诸如 Bob Cranshaw、Jaco Pastorius、Stanly Clarke 等使用电贝斯不仅延续了爵士乐的新生命，并激发和开创了各种新的音乐分枝诸如 fusion、jazz fusion、funk、rock、R&B、pop 等等。都是因为有了贝斯，我们才有了如今可以用来享受的各种现代电声音乐。感谢贝斯！
