This auction is for a one-of-a-kind 1988 Gibson Custom Shop Art Series WRC, handmade by Greg Rich, Jim Triggs and Wayne Charvel. On top of being a rare axe from a period when the Gibson Custom Shop was turning out exceptional work, this one is?out of the infamous Akira Tsumura collection.
In 1988, Jim Triggs and Greg Rich built five NAMM prototypes for what would become the Gibson Custom Shop Art Series. This is one of those five, and the only designed in collaboration with Wayne Charvel. So not only is this a very rare Gibson prototype that predates the modern Custom Shop, but it is the intersection of three of the day's top luthiers and one of the guitar world's most important collectors. Historically significant? I think so. Gruhn has a mandolin from the same run appraised at $30K. If you are a Gibson Custom Shop or Charvel collector, the opportunity to buy a handmade prototype at a firesale price doesn't come along everyday. Grab it before Vernon Reid or Jennifer Batten does!
This example is 100% original with no breaks, repairs, mods, shenanigans or chicanery whatsoever. It has been a case queen for the better part of the last twenty years and has very low hours on it. The handpainted ivoroid over Pelham Blue finish is heavily checked (par for the course for Gibsons of this era) and heavily awesome! Some finish loss around the pointy bits. Binding and marquetry and gold up the wazoo! Wayne and Duff seemed to like it, don't you think you will too?

看着不舒服~~呵呵 对和Wayne Charvel 搞的WRC。。。GIBSON 80年代 赶时髦 出了很多不靠谱的型号加上本身自己产品的质量又差 差点倒闭了 80年代的GIBSON大多不怎么样 还好后来换了东家 不过不可否认，在外观图案上却是很漂亮。但是如果这个琴是JACKSON做的话 可能大家都会很喜欢。G。。还是别掺和这种玩意 原帖由 xiaoye08 于 2011-7-3 17:56 发表

不光是牌子那么简单GIBSON就是看到大潮流赶个时髦 （fender也在差不多同时做了同样的事） JACKSON那会还是小厂认认真真做琴。。
这把 是CUSTOM SHOP用来展出搞噱头的所以看上不错 普通的WRC都不怎样，包括GIBSON 那会出的 其他SUPER START，US-1 US-2什么的质量和那会的JACKSON 不在一个档次上 不过80年代金属大潮一去不复返啦

又装嫩了是吧... so fucking 80's,换成Jackson出就牛逼了 为什么都不喜欢都觉得 蛋疼？

个人很喜欢很喜欢 只能用NB来形容 80年代在金属大环境以及Jackson等品牌的冲击下，很多老厂子都出了这种Copy，这把G也就是J的彩绘加上BC Gunslinger的形状！其实BC都可以告他。。。看起来其实是不错，不过没人会买，喜欢G的肯定不是喜欢ST的，喜欢这样的也都是J，BCR的fan。
法老G也比不过J，彩绘没人比得了Dan Lawrance和Mike Learn

真没睹出来什么功力，我看到的只是开裂的油漆和包边，还有一些难以接受的设计，比如琴头。拾音器的位置我明白设计者的意图，这样斜过来低音弦更适合失真节奏高音弦弹原声也不炸，毕竟就一个拾音器，思路是对的，但好像拾音器位置对的不怎么准。
下面那把双颈JACKSON倒是做得很靠谱，同样的题材。个人觉得这把GIBSON是一个败笔，记录了当时的一些潮流，值得收藏但没什么实用价值。 原帖由 Possessed 于 2011-7-4 02:49 发表

你老有猛货啊说说这琴的背景 琴体看上去是一块木头啊。。牛逼 J好看。。G，那琴头蛋疼啊 这漆工活开裂的很正点儿，哈哈！
GIBSON還是認真的造 Les Paul 吧~
